On Thursday evening, seven people were killed in a horrific road accident near Apam in the Central.
Eight other people, including an infant, were hurt.
A Sprinter minibus with the registration number GW7920-22 was travelling from Mankessim to Accra when it was involved in the accident.
The bus is said to have gone off the road and into the woods.
Apam Fire Station personnel responded after a passerby reported the accident around 8 p.m.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service’s Central Regional Public Relations Officer, Division Officer III, Abdul Wasiu Hudu, the station quickly dispatched the rescue team to the scene and discovered a Sprinter mini bus involved in an accident with a number of passengers trapped inside.
He stated that firefighters extricated them and handed them over to the Ghana Ambulance Service.
He claimed that the police took the dead to the mortuary.
