A 20-year-old man was arrested by police in Pomaa Pokuase, Assin Fosu Municipality, for allegedly injuring a friend.
Stephen Ansah, the suspect, is said to have slashed his friend Emmanuel Appiah’s palm after the latter demanded his share of the GH30 they had both worked for.
Appiah reported the matter to Ansah’s father after failing to recover the money from Ansah for more than two weeks.
However, Ansah, who was upset by his friend’s decision, went to the victim’s house armed with a cutlass and attempted to stab the victim in the stomach.
According to Oyerepafmonline.com, the victim seized the cutlass with both hands, resulting in severe injuries to his fingers as the suspect pulled the cutlass.
Ansah, who fled the scene after injuring his friend, was later apprehended by Assin Fosu Police and is expected to appear in court.
The victim is currently fighting for his fingers, according to Inspector Gilbert Ayongo, who confirmed the incident.
