President Nana Akufo-Addo has fired Stephen Yir-engu Engmen, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority.
His dismissal comes after the President fired another deputy CEO of the authority, Patrick Seidu.
According to a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare, Yir-engu Engmen is expected to hand over his duties and any official property to the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority before leaving.
His sacking is set to take effect on March 21, 2023.
“We regret to inform you that H. E. the President has decided to terminate your appointment as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority on March 21, 2023.”
Mr Yir-Eru Engmen was appointed as one of the Northern Development Authority‘s two Deputy Chief Executive Officers by President Akufo-Addo in 2018. (NDA).
The Northern Development Authority (NDA) has recently been in the news due to an alleged corruption case at the office.
