Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the energy minister, has assured the board of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company (GCMC) of his support for their initiatives to provide Ghanaians with top-notch service.
Dr. Prempeh made these comments in response to a question from the company’s board, which was chaired by Mr. Anthony Evans, at the Ministry of Energy.
The primary purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the Minister to the company’s newly appointed Managing Director, Mrs. Genevieve Sackey.
In response to some administrative issues the Board Chairman brought up, he gave the Minister a special assurance of the company’s strengthened commitment to serving the people of Ghana through their flagship programmes, like the cylinder recirculation module.
Mrs. Sackey gave the Minister her word that she was prepared to work with the Board and her coworkers to carry out the company’s mission.
“GCMC has immense potential and I’m more than happy to contribute my quota to its mission”, she said.
“It is also heart-warming to learn the commitment of the board and staff towards the work and look forward to collaborating with everyone” she added.
Dr. Prempeh went on to say that he would continue to support the agency in carrying out its mission.
