A man has been arrested after shining a laser into Mykhailo Mudryk’s face during Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates on Tuesday.
Mudryk was introduced as a 71st minute substitute at the Emirates, his first appearance against Arsenal since opting to join Chelsea instead of Mikel Arteta’s side in an £88.7million January move.
The 22-year-old winger was booed by the home crowd following his introduction and had a green light flashed on his face during his time on the pitch.
The FA are also looking into the incident.
Mudryk had been set to join Arsenal in January before Chelsea swooped in to complete the signing instead.
The Ukraine international has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea since his January move.
Arsenal secured a 3-1 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday to move back to the top of the Premier League. A Martin Odegaard brace and Gabriel Jesus goal gave Arteta’s side a 3-0 first-half lead, before Noni Madueke scored a second-half consolation for Chelsea.
Chelsea return to action on Saturday with a trip to Bournemouth while Arsenal visit Newcastle on Sunday.
