Akosua Agyapong, a renowned musician, claims that she has been receiving death threats from unidentified people, and that this puts her life in danger.
She claimed that the threat stemmed from her repeated criticism of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).
She has recently criticized the organization due to claims of corruption.
This was revealed by Akosua Agyapong during an interview with Nana Kwame Gyan on Accra-based Onua TV/Maakye FM’s on December 28, 2022.
She claimed that soon after an interview on one of the Accra radio stations, she started receiving death threats.
The musician claims that she has informed the Tuba Police Station in the Greater Accra Region of the incident.
She claimed, “I have been receiving death threats via text due to the GHAMRO issues, so on December 26, 2022, I went to Tuba police station to report.”
She said, “They said I should go to the headquarters, so I’m going there today to give the police another report.”
