Saheed Wasiu, who is known as K-Federal, has been apprehended by the Osun State Police Command, as confirmed by the Command’s spokesperson Yemisi Opalola.
Wasiu was previously wanted by the police for his involvement in murder and cult-related activities. The statement also disclosed that Wasiu is a member of the Eiye Confraternity led by Rasheed Hammed, also known as Oko-Ilu, and he was captured in the Alusekere area of Ede by detectives from the Special Anti-Cultism unit.
According to Yemisi Opalola, the spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, a woman reported that one Saheed Wasiu, also known as K-Federal, a dangerous member of the Rasheed Oko-Ilu gang, was spotted in the Alusekere area of Ede, Osun State on May 7th, 2023 around 2 pm.
The Special Anti-cultism unit detectives promptly acted on the tip-off and apprehended the suspect. During questioning, he admitted to being a member of the Eiye confraternity, led by Rasheed Hammed, also known as Oko-Ilu, who had previously been detained in a correctional facility.
Opalola also revealed that the suspect confessed to being actively involved in the murder of twenty individuals in Ede town.
The spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, stated that the suspect admitted to playing an active role in the murder of approximately twenty innocent people from Ede town. The suspect and his accomplices disposed of the corpses in the Osun River in Sagba, Ede. Some of the victims mentioned by the suspect include Wale, Jamiu, Ganiyu, Azeez, Eyimba, and others.
Opalola also confirmed that after the completion of the investigation, the suspect will be arraigned in court.
