Kwesi Pratt Jnr., a Ghanaian journalist and the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, has commented on the speech given by the outgoing Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen, to announce his flagbearership ambition.
According to the Senior Journalist, Mr. Kyerematen’s delivery lacked confidence.
He believes that not enough effort was put into putting together the entire programme.
“You are standing in front of a white, blue, red, gold, and green background, wearing a multicoloured shirt. That is terrible PR, and the image he presented is not a good one,” he expressed disappointment.
Mr. Pratt stated during a panel discussion on Metro TV that Mr. Kyerematen appeared “tired and haggard” due to the incorrect colour combination.
Mr. Pratt believes that the outgoing Minister of Trade and Industry should have presented his speech with more confidence.
“I believe he could have delivered a better presentation. He could have shown a lot more self-assurance. “He presented as if he wasn’t reading a script, but his flow suggested there was one,” he explained.
Mr. Kyerematen officially declared his intention to run for president of the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 election on January 10, 2022.
He outlined a seven-point plan dubbed the Great Transformational Plan in his speech and urged Ghanaians to support his campaign message.
