Rev. Osei Karikari Annor, the head pastor of the Assemblies of God, Christian Center in Kumasi, has warned Nigel Gaisie, the founder of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, to stop prophesying.
This comes after Nigel Gaisie made some predictions about what would happen in the world in 2023 during his Watch Night service on December 31, 2022.
Among his prophecies were the change of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in the “Republic of Yemp Nokware” in 2023, as well as a plot to assassinate a former Arsenal star of Togolese nationality.
On December 31st, the Overseer always makes a prophecy. The prophecy of a terror attack in the “Republic of Umuofia” in 2022 is one of them.
However, the majority of these, according to Rev. Osei Annor, do not materialize
On Prime Morning with KMJ the Royal Host on Monday, the head pastor stated that Prophet Nigel’s false prophecies are causing embarrassment to the prophetic ministry.
“It’s past time we warned that young man to stop what he’s doing because he’s making a mockery of the whole prophecy thing. He’s doing nothing right and should not call himself a national prophet because he’s dishonoring himself and the prophetic ministry. “That guy is a joke,” he remarked.
Additionally, he indicated that “he’s making people make fun of the prophetic ministry. It’s not a joke; it’s not entertainment; and it’s not something you should have to do. Serious people are not going to listen to that guy.”
Rev. Osei Annor believes that the majority of recent prophecies are conditional.
He claimed that pastors who claim to be national prophets should stop giving conditional prophecies and be more direct.
He attributed most prophecies being dangerous and frightening to the fact that the majority of prophecies in the Bible were warnings to the people. He believes that God decides what should happen.
He urged the public to pray for the resolution of Ghana’s current economic crisis, believing that 2023 will be a prosperous year despite some challenges.
He also urged people to pray against any political conflict in the year 2023, stating that such a conflict is possible.
People are cautioned, however, to be extremely careful about the kinds of prophecies they believe in, as the year 2023 has only just begun.
