According to 90min, Andre Ayew has shown interest in returning to the Premier League with West Ham, Bournemouth, Southampton, Everton, and Nottingham Forest.
The 33-year-old is now a free agent after terminating his contract with Qatari team Al Sadd. He scored for Ghana against Portugal at the 2022 World Cup but also missed a crucial penalty against Uruguay.
Ayew previously spent six years in England, sandwiching two stints at Swansea with an unsuccessful 18-month stay at West Ham. Before moving to Qatar, he also spent time at Turkish powerhouses Fenerbahce.
Ayew scored 12 goals in 34 games for Swansea during his first season in the Premier League, which led West Ham to pay £20 million for his services in 2016. Although he only scored nine goals for the Hammers, he returned to Wales on the final day of the transfer window as West Ham were able to recoup the majority of the transfer fee they had paid.
Ayew’s return did not help Swansea maintain their Premier League status, but he did once more develop into a prolific goalscorer at the Championship level, and the goals have continued to come during his two-year stay at Al Sadd.
Ayew is also anticipated to draw interest from Ligue 1 given his prior eight-year successful stint at Marseille.
