In connection with the violent disturbances that took place during the National Youth and Women’s Congress of the NDC held on December 10, 2022, in Cape Coast in the Central Region, the police have detained two additional suspects.
Abdul-Fataw Adams and Hajj Dawda Hassan, the two suspects, were taken into custody in Wenchi, Bono Region, and Tishegu, Tamale, Northern Region, respectively.
While suspect Dawda Hassan is in police custody and will be brought before the court to answer for his crimes, suspect Hajj Abdul-Fataw is currently out on bail.
This brings the total number of people detained in relation to the disturbances to six (6). The six are Hajj Abdul-Fataw Adams, Ibrahim Razak, Dawda Mohammed Nazir, Iddrisu Abass alias Jango, Dawda Hassan, and Abdul Halid Shaibu alias Oluu.
The suspects’ faces have been displayed because they had already been listed as wanted and we wanted to enlist the public’s help in getting them arrested.
According to a statement from the Police, “the intelligence operations are still ongoing to arrest the remaining 10 suspects.”
